The RCC
meeting was held at the Sikh Center where Prem Singh Kahlon enlightened members
on the faith and encouraged further fellowship.
There was a great number of people in attendance because of the recent national
attention the Sikhs had. Prem described
Sikhism, its history and the beliefs, then showed the group the worship area
and went through a couple of prayers.
The Religion Editor of the Tennessean also attended the meeting and got
photos as well as of the Sikhs’ worship service for a nice follow up
article. We were also able to video record
the meeting and it went up on the national RCC website.Wednesday, August 22, 2012

June 2012 – DeRose Hinkhouse Award Winners Luncheon
President of
the Nashville Chapter, Rev. Brian Fesler, thought it would be nice to have an
acknowledgement luncheon for all those who received awards at the 2012 National
Convention. Everyone who received an award was invited for a lunch provided by
the chapter. Communications Coordinator, Julie Brinker, created a slideshow of
photos from the convention which was shown during lunch, and each person who
had received a DeRose Hinkhouse award was given a treat by Laura Flippen
Tenzel. This created a nice sense of
achievement and encouraged everyone to continue to submit entries for DeRose Hinkhouse.
